Can I book an appointment even if I don't have a family doctor?
Only patients who have a VEMC family physician can book an appointment during the day. We do offer an evening and weekend afterhours clinic to everyone who needs care.
Does your clinic see patients without an appointment?
Unfortunately not during business hours, however we do offer an afterhours clinic during the evenings and weekends.
How can I get in to see an afterhours doctor if I do have a VEMC family physician?
Evening afterhours clinic: Patients of the clinic can register over the phone [(306) 789-4677] starting at 4:30 pm. Patients who do not have a physician at the clinic can call and register at 4:45pm. The afterhours doctor starts seeing patients at 5:00 pm. The afterhours clinic will take place in person however registration is done over the phone.
Registration is over the phone. Patients experiencing respiratory symptoms are asked to wear masks.
How can I get in to see a doctor if I do not have a VEMC family physician?
Evening afterhours clinic: Patients who do not have a VEMC family physician can register over the phone [(306) 789-4677] starting at 4:45 pm. The afterhours doctor starts seeing patients at 5:00 pm. The Afterhours clinic is in person however registration is done by phone initially.
Weekend afterhours: Registration, done over the phone, is first-come-first-served on weekends.
I don't have a family doctor at VEMC, but am I allowed to use the lab?
Yes, our upstairs laboratory is open for everyone to use, not just VEMC patients. Please call (306) 789-4677 to book a lab appointment with a receptionist. Patients with appointments for the lab will be sent a text with the screening questions. Patients are asked to come to the lab at their appointment time, no earlier. Patients must wear a medical grade mask to their lab appointment. Anyone feeling unwell is asked to reschedule their appointment.
Does your clinic have ultrasound? What about X-ray?
VEMC houses Victoria East Radiology, which offers ultrasound, but not X-ray.
I have a form that needs to be filled out by my VEMC family physician. Can I drop it off at your clinic to be filled out?
All forms require an appointment with your doctor in order to be filled out. Please call us at (306) 789-4677 to book. If time sensitive, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. Forms are completed during business hours not our after hours walk in clinic.
